In my years being in TeamGE, I realized players love to fish articles which are still in draft.
"How come we can see drafts then? Make it invisible if they're not meant for our eyes!" You may ask.
In actual fact, you don't see those draft articles placed on the official website. Thus, they are actually invisible if you don't fish.
"And what's fish?" I would say fish is just a number guessing game.
And about this commotion in the forums - Someone fished an article about the release date of v4.5 and shared it amongst the community. However, the thread was deleted by officials and the article title was changed to 'You've been gotcha'.
Someone commented that IAH should apologize for the 'wrongly published article' and giving them false hope on the wrongly announced date.
As you know, v4.5 patch release is a big news and it is a news which everyone is waiting for. If we were to publish the article, it will definitely take the top seat on the website.
Thus, it was never a mistake to begin with. (If you are lucky to fish an exclusive article and share this piece of news to the community, it is not an official one.)
Alright, let's put all that aside and read on. :D
.. Now about v4.5...
The QA for v4.5 has been pretty much completed, however, we encountered lots of hiccups for the manual patch. Without manual patch, yes, we can still launch. But this time round, the patch is about 300mb, so you guys may take really longggggg to autopatch your client on launch day....
But heh, thanks to IMC dudes!
The manual patch problem has finally been resolved on Friday night, and testing went on through the weekends. It's finally ready.
I really appreciate the effort IMC put in and staying back till late night with us... :)
(So, now you know why... We will not publish articles until we are firm with the dates, because we do not want to give you, the players false hopes.)

I am ready, we are ready, finally ready to announce the official launch of v4.5: Keystones of the 5 elements!
24 June 2010 is the day.

The maintenance will be pretty long this time round, and just to let you guys know, it is best to exit the launcher after the servers are down for maintenance.
Just keep a lookout for the download links and feature articles on the official website, they'll be published soon! - Don't fish. :(

Anything on the web site is published and will pop up on a Google search whether people "fish" or not. If your Content Management System has a draft mode, you can use that to keep these things from happening in the future.
There may be a "hide post" mode in the CMS, too. The point is, though, anything on the web site is published and public even if you don't link it to the main page of the site.
